The Cure for PMS is God, Country, Respect, and Responsibility with a heavy dose of Common Sense

The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world, and it is because of this that PMS in America is geared toward the women who are raising the future generations that will guide this country. Let's get back to the basics and reclaim what past generations died for--life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Children, Money, and School Agendas

If you have children in school, it has to be a scary thought as to what they are being taught, especially in the public schools.  No wonder the young adults that are being pumped out of the public schools are illiterate and dysfunctional. With too much government intervention through testing and control by withholding funds, our children, along with our country's future are in jeopardy.

Teachers are now restricted as to what they can teach by being told they must teach what is on the "standardized test" because their district must hold a certain score in order to acquire government funds.  Not only that, but they are to focus only on those subjects and questions which are included in the test in order to reach those numbers.  Where does that leave our students?  At the bottom of the education ladder, and as a result, we end up with adults who hold high school diplomas without the ability to read or write.

Several weeks ago, I heard on a radio talk show that the public schools are phasing out cursive writing, so what that means is that future generations will have no idea how to sign their name. Perhaps they can go back to the old days of putting their "X" on the line that says, "Sign Here".

Not only will they be unable to sign their name, with that special signature, but they will not be able to read any documents that are written in cursive such as The United States Constitution and The Declaration of Independence. Being unable to read a document like the hieroglyphics in the Egyptian tombs is as a result of the lack of knowledge to read and write the language of the time.  In this case, the inability to read cursive would end with the same results, the inability to read the actual documents which are written in cursive. One example of this inability to read a document written in cursive is the Martin, Zimmerman case. The witness on the stand, Rachel Jeantel, could not read a document in cursive. Where does that leave the generations to come who cannot read the original founding documents?

During the days of slavery, one of the reasons for denying slaves the opportunity to read and write is because slave owners/government knew that an ignorant society is a well controlled society.  You cannot control someone who has the ability to think for themselves, and they learn this through reading and writing. Education is power to the extent that it provides a means for one to think critically and analytically; therefore, a free thinker cannot be held captive to the oppression of a tyrannical government; he will find a way to break the bonds and lead others to freedom as well.

Not only are the schools denying our children the ability to read and write, but after a conversation with my daughter this morning, they are also creating the inability for them to add and subtract.  No wonder our public schools are in the shape they are and unemployment is at an all time high. We are creating a society that cannot function without a nanny, the federal government, to hold their hand. This lack of knowledge results in the distribution of the Social Security Disability check described as the "Stupid Check".  Yes, I've seen them. Remember, I worked in a homeless shelter and food pantry for a year, but I digress. Schools are handing second graders calculators in order to do math homework.  We are no longer teaching children how to add and subtract; our schools are teaching them to let a device do it for them. Where does that leave future generations?

If all of a sudden our country was left with no electricity, what would happen to this generation? Many of the older folks would have no trouble surviving, but the present generation could not manage to even put their pants on right, much less count change or, heaven forbid, cook something that doesn't require the microwave or ordering from McDonalds.

Think about it people, as the dumbing down process of the educational system by the government continues to increase, the security of this nation as a free people decreases.  Do you know what your child is learning in school, or should I say, what your child is not learning?
