The Cure for PMS is God, Country, Respect, and Responsibility with a heavy dose of Common Sense

The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world, and it is because of this that PMS in America is geared toward the women who are raising the future generations that will guide this country. Let's get back to the basics and reclaim what past generations died for--life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Children Need Responsibility

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
Proverbs 28:19 He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

Once more, the words of Solomon are great and wise. In this article in one of the 1942 newspapers found beneath the flooring of my late grandparents house, is the advice column regarding teaching children responsibility. Our problems today stem from a lack of responsibility, especially in the last two generations--those after  the "Baby Boomers". I do hope you enjoy it, and take heed to it.

Miss Coleman Advises Letting Youngsters Work for Themselves

Give the children some responsibility in the home and in doing so, help them build strength of character, is the advice of Miss Cora Lee Coleman, county home demonstration agent.
Giving the small child responsibility in the home will make him feel important in the family, Miss Coleman said, and he wants to feel that he can really help. This feeling, she said, should work to the advantage of both the child and the parent. A child as young as two years can learn to do little things for himself and be made to think that he is helping his mother.
Children should be made responsible for their toys when not in use, but they should be provided with a place easily within reach, in which they can keep them. Children two and one-half years of age can be taught to hang up their clothes and will take a particular delight in doing it. In this way the habits of orderliness are easily acquired.
The habit of helping with little things, Miss Coleman said, can be used to encourage the child, as he grows older, to assume responsibility for certain necessary duties around the house.
The small child will get a lot of satisfaction from believing that he is a helpful member of the family, the home demonstration agent said, and working together in the family helps to create family solidarity.
