The Cure for PMS is God, Country, Respect, and Responsibility with a heavy dose of Common Sense

The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world, and it is because of this that PMS in America is geared toward the women who are raising the future generations that will guide this country. Let's get back to the basics and reclaim what past generations died for--life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Scare Tactics and Shell Games

As I listen to the senators, both conservative and liberal, offering up their reasons for the so-called HealthCare Bill, the comment used often by liberals, "They play on your fears" comes to mind.  However, I keep hearing liberals say if this bill isn't passed right now, millions of people will die because they will lose their healthcare, or they will not be able to receive help.  For the left, every thing is a crisis and must be handled right now.  Who is playing on your fears now? Any time someone rushes me to make a decision, it's because they do not want to give me time to think about it, or they don't want to give me time to read-up on it; plus they know that once I have read and thought about it, I'll change my mind.

Have you ever gone into a car dealership, especially, a used car dealership?  The contantly hound you to purchase a certain car and tell how great it is, and how wonderful you look in it, then comes the kicker, especially if you have a family.  They tell you that the car is the safest on the road and they know you want to keep you family safe. They use the scare tactics to influence you to purchase it. Then, they tell you that you'll only be paying so much and you get all of these great deals with it, but when you say, "I really want to think about it," they pressure you to do right now.  That's because they know you will begin to think about what is really best for you and how much it will cost over the next five years, and you know what you have to spend and don't. They don't want you to "think about it."

Or, have you ever gone into a garage to have your car serviced and they tell you that if you don't get those tires all replaced right now, you may not make it down the road, even though it hasn't been that long since you purchased new tires.  They tell you if you don't replace part and do unnecessary repairs that you may breakdown and expose your family to hazards and dangers, and you can't wait, you must do it now or you may find yourself in a crisis.  They use pressure and scare tactics to force you to make an uneducated decision right then, rather than allow you to wait and think about it first, because they know that if you think about it first, you'll realize that what they are saying is not true but only a way to make more money off of you. They don't want you to "think about it."

When you purchase a house that contains many pages of contract information for that mortgage, would you sign it without first reading it? What if that contract had over a thousand pages in it and the mortgage lender gave you an ultimatime stating that you have to sign it within two days or lose the house, would you still sign it, not knowing what is in it?  Why do they want you to sign it "right now" without allowing you the proper amount of time to read it and think about it, because they know what you will do, especially if you find any improper language within it.  They don't want you to "think about it."

This healthcare bill is so massive and the pressure to pass it "right now" without giving people or other congressman and senators the time to read it and think about it is evident.  We even have senators that say they will not vote like their constituants want because they know better for them than they do, so they (the senator) will vote their own will and not the constituents. The writers of the bill continue to make changes in it with massive amendments equaling hundreds of pages every night, making it impossible for anyone to read it before they demand a vote on it, and they are reaching for cloture so no more debate can be made.  The number of pages in the Healthcare Bill is at last count well over 2000 pages.  Have you seen it? Have you read it? What does it truely contain? Why does this bill have to be signed before Christmas? Why don't they want you to "think about it?"

My mother always told me to never believe anything you hear, and only have of what you see.  You had better look at it for yourself, seek the truth.  How do you do this?  Listen to what people are saying and then go searching for it yourself. Seek and you shall find, and the Truth will set you free, two phrases and verses in the Bible that I live by each day. Now, if only those in congress lived by those same words.  They pass bills in the dead of night under the cover of darkness, so you won't know what's happening. They move numbers around and tweak them here and misrepresent them there, so it sounds really tempting, like the old time snake oil salesman who tells you his elixer will cure all ills.  But, will that actually cure you or kill you in the end?  Before you make rash decisions on what you hear someone else tell you, watch C-Span, listen to the talk shows and gather the information, then read the bill and listen to what the people in congress on both sides are really saying.

Make sure that their "scare tactics" is not just the poor part of a nasty shell game. Think about it.
